So Much To Say

There have been sooo many beautiful things that have happened over the past few years and there is so much to type in regards to that, but right now I just want to share this ESSENCE ARTICLE that I am so proud of about a story that I am so proud of. THE BLACK BANSHEE has touched so many lives and I am so proud I made it and I’m even more excited to see where it goes as a TV series (or a BOOK!) in the future (OR BOTH!). I had the honor of being featured in ESSENCE MAGAZINE because of it, so please, give the article a read when you can.

The Past Few Months

My goodness. The past few months have been a whirlwind.

As an artist, I did a three week run at The Player’s Theatre in a play called The Last Gasp where I portrayed a French-Cameroonian businesswoman. It was one of the most jarring professional experiences of my life (and I have had many), as our lead actor dropped out of the show a mere days before opening. After being repeatedly mistreated by him, I cannot say that I missed working with him, but I will say that it was a tough transition to bring in a new actor. Me and the original actor had already built onstage chemistry and had all of the blocking in place. It was a difficult and daunting experience that led to a full meltdown in front of my whole team. This was added pressure because the text was already super complex with tech words that I didn’t fully understand or know how to pronounce, especially because I was doing a combination accent. Thankfully, the actor who filled the role was a kind hearted, capable, and talented person. We made the best out of a tough situation. And, I think we had fun while doing it! That’s the best that you can hope for.

It's A Wrap!!

My mythological film that I wrote, produced, and co-starred in wrapped filming a little over two weeks ago. After many changes and a series of miracles, we successfully shot the film and are now moving into post production.

This film (The Black Banshee) works as both a standalone short and as a proof a concept for a pilot that I wrote.

Follow me, my company, and the film on Instagram. Stay tuned for updates!

I’m Back!

I recently went on a month long journey to deal with some mental health issues I was enduring and I must say that I feel great now! I am really learning who and what to give my energy to, I am sleeping again, and so many things are going so, so well. I am so happy to be back and to get back to doing the things I love in a healthier way.
